Derek has over 25 years’ experience in Outside Sales in the Payments Space and Private Equity. In 2013, he opened Edward Williams Consulting Group, LTD, a British company located in Antigua and Barbuda that focused on raising capital for online gaming companies including cutting edge Cryptocurrency online casinos. Derek raised $15 Million USD to help a group of US investors acquire a land-based casino in Antigua. Derek’s work ethic respect, and quick acclimation to Antigua’s business culture not only earned him a position as the Casino’s General Manager, soon after was appointed as Antigua’s Economic Business Benefit Liasson to the United States. In 2017 Derek expanded his business from the West Indies to the US where he raised over $100 Million USD through Private Equity, Institutional Funding, and Merger and Acquisition Domestic existing and start-up companies. His business acumen and full throttle passion lead him to be the first runner up representing Chicago in Donald Trump’s hit television show “The Apprentice”, and was also the featured personality in the reality television show “Trouble in Paradise” which premiered on the Spike Network in 2014
In 2007 I acquired three buildings in downtown Joliet Illinois. I stripped them down from the actual foundation to the roofs and turned it into one of the most beautiful and successful restaurants in Will County Illinois.

The producers of the show herd of Derek’s newest adventure and invested in a show of his own called “Trouble in Paradise” which premiered on September 14th, 2014 on the Spike Network. create depth and texture.
Derek opened the first casino in Chicago in 1992, The Empress Casino, as a Dice Dealer. Within the first two years Derek not only dealt all the table games, became Boxman, Pit Boss and soon Floor Manager, and Executive Host.

Derek led the fundraising efforts for land based and online gaming companies, raising over $15M USD for a US investment group to acquire a land-based casino in Antigua and Barbuda. Derek moved his entire family there 2013 and was the General Contractor responsible for the complete revamping of the casino. Once open, Derek held the title of General Manager / President.
JOLIET – Will County Executive Larry Walsh joined Mayor Tom Giarrante and others to recognize Derek Brenczewski and Denny’s Restaurant for earning LEED certification on Monday, making it one of a few dozen eateries worldwide to be so recognized.
According to the United States Green Building Council the restaurant at 2531 Plainfield Road is the first restaurant in Will County to earn the certification. A LEED, Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design, certification recognizes best-in-class building strategies and practices. Of the 20,000 buildings in the world that are LEED-certified, only 38 are restaurants.
